As an Australian based organisation, we at The BEX believe in giving back to our local community who also support our growth and innovation.
With that in mind, we are pleased to share that The BEX is a supporter of the Buddy Concierge Program across all the homes at Brightwater Age Care.
In September 2021, The BEX’s Managing Director, Mathew Frederickson and Simon Whitehead, Director, announced the exciting news at the Brightwater Madeley Home.
About Brightwater
A part of the Western Australia community since 1901, Brightwater has developed a reputation for service, flexibility and innovation making them one of Western Australia’s best known and largest providers of quality residential, rehabilitation and community care for people with disabilities and older people.
The not for profit organisation’s services are extensive, from short and long-term residential accommodation and rehabilitation services, to assistance in the home and include specialist skills in supporting people living with Dementia, Acquired Brain Injury and Huntington’s Disease.
The internationally-recognised Brightwater Research Centre enables the organisation to keep innovating, to trial and measure outcomes to ultimately to deliver new ways to enhance the lives of our residents and clients.
Introducing the Brightwater Buddy Concierge Program
Through The BEX support, each of Brightwater’s residential aged care homes will have their very own Brightwater Buddy Concierge to warmly welcome people into their homes and help them find their way around the site.
The concierges volunteer their time to act as another friendly face for visitors, assisting people to complete the necessary checks before entering one of our aged care homes, such as signing in via our online check in system, checking their temperature and citing evidence of their latest flu vaccine.
“Prior to COVID-19, visitors could enter and exit our homes independently, but with thorough procedures now in place to ensure our residents are kept safe, it often requires an extra set of hands to help people sign in,” commented Brightwater.
A partnership reflective of The BEX values
With a strong focus on the residents, staff, volunteers, visitors, partners and their families’ experiences, and using technology and good old fashioned face-to-face friendly attentive services, the BEX team felt this partnership aligned strongly to our way of delivering the best business experience through technology and absolute service excellence.
“The team at the BEX are extremely humbled to be involved and we look forward to continuing to support such a forward thinking organisation,” said our Managing Director, Mathew Frederickson.
“The BEX team is supporting the Brightwater Buddy Concierges by covering administration costs associated with inductions, relevance clearance forms, uniforms, training and orientation to help get the concierges up to speed with welcoming and showing residents around their new homes.”
